Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Ahmedabad (Kalupur) is the world’s first Swaminarayan Mandir. The head of construction was Sadguru Shree Anandanand Swami. 5,000 acres land for this mandir was gifted by the British Governor Sir Dunlop. The land for this mandir was mapped out by Manki Ghodi. Pran Pratishtha was done by Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan on Fagan Sud 3 V.S. 1878 (C.E. 1822). The main murti of this mandir is Shree Narnarayan Dev – The King of Bharatkhand. Ahmedabad is also the headquarters of Uttar Vibhag (Northern Diocese) Shree Narnarayan Dev Gadi and home to Shree Dharmakul Parivar at Swaminarayan Baug.
Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Bhuj is the second mandir built by Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan. The head of construction was Sadguru Shree Vaishnavanand Swami. Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan installed the murti of Shree Narnarayan Dev on Vaishakh Sud 5 V.S. 1879 (1823 C.E.). Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan visited the Kutch region over 20 times for a total of 7 years. Hence, Kutch was very dear to Him. Bhuj Mandir is also home to a maha-pratapi murti of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj, installed by H.H. 1008 Acharya Shree Devendraprasadji Maharaj.
Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Vadtal is the third mandir built by Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan. The head of construction was Sadguru Shree Brahmanand Swami. Pran Pratishtha was done by Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan on Kartik Sud 12 V.S. 1881 (1824 CE). Vadtal is the only mandir in which Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan installed His own swarup as Shree Harikrishna Maharaj. Vadtal is also where Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan established Shree Laxminarayan Dev Gadi and Shree Narnarayan Dev Gadi. Hari Mandap, where Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan wrote the Shikshapatri, is also located in Vadtal. Gnan Baug, where Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan performed Rangotsav Lila, is also located in Vadtal. Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan also recited 20 Vachanamruts in Vadtal. Vadtal is the headquarters of Dakshin Vibhag (Southern Diocese) Shree Laxminarayan Dev Gadi and the home to the Dharmakul Parivar at Raghuvir Vadi
Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Dholera is the fourth mandir built by
Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan. The main pillars of the mandir were constructed by Sadguru Shree Nishkulanand Swami. Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan installed the murti of Shree Madanmohanji Maharaj on Vaishakh Sud 13 V.S. 1882 (1826 C.E.) Punjabhai of Dholera requested Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan to build a mandir and thus donated the land. This ancient port city was then graced with a divine mandir.
Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Junagadh is the fifth mandir built by Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan. The head of construction was Sadguru Shree Brahmanand Swami. Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan installed the murti of Shree Radharaman Dev on Vaishakh Vad 2 V.S. 1884 (1828 C.E.) Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan appointed Sadguru Shree Gunatitanand Swami as mahant of this mandir in which he did seva for 40 years.
Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Gadhada is the sixth mandir built by Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan. Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan installed the murti of Shree Gopinathji Maharaj on Aso Sud 12 V.S. 1885. The head of construction was Sadguru Shree Viraktanand Swami. The murti of Shree Gopinathji Maharaj is scaled exactly to the body of Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan
