Bhagwan Shree Ram was born on Chaitra Sud 9 at 12:00pm in Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) as the son of King Dashrath and Queen Kaushalya. He is the 7th avatar of Lord Vishnu and is known as ‘Maryada Purushottam’.
Bhagwan Shree Ram is known as ‘Maryada Purushottam’ due to his faithfulness towards his parents, brothers, wife, and guru. Thus, Lord Ram performed the necessary duties to both His family and society. He ruled Ayodhya for 11 thousand years.
Bhagwan Shree Ram and his wife Sita Mata had two twin sons, Shree Luv and Shree Kush. Lord Hanumanji was Lord Ram’s most loyal devotee, being ready to serve Him at any moment.
Bhagwan Shree Ram incarnated during the Tretayug to get rid of adharma spread by Ravan and his brother Kumbhakaran. Eventually, Lord Ram was able to defeat these demons and re-establish Dharma. The full life of Lord Ram is narrated in the ‘Ramayan’.
