For the first time, His Holiness 108 Bhavi Acharya Shree Nrigendraprasadji Maharaj graced Germany, marking a significant milestone for the growing Swaminarayan Sampraday in the country. The historic visit, undertaken with the agyna of H.H. 1008 Acharya Shree Ajendraprasadji Maharaj, also included the presence of Swami Shree Bhaktinandandasji, Swami Shree Gnanvallabhdasji, and Swami Shree Kavialyaswarupdasji.
Fueled by an increasing number of young adults from Gujarat arriving in Germany for higher education and employment opportunities, the local satsang has experienced substantial growth since 2017. What began as weekly online gatherings has evolved into a robust community, actively spreading the teachings of Bhagwan Shree Swaminaraya under the auspices of Shree Laxminarayan Dev Gadi.
The five-day visit saw a series of auspicious padhramanis and vibrant Shakotsav celebrations held in major cities including Frankfurt, Nuremberg, and Berlin. Hundreds of devotees participated in these landmark events, demonstrating the community’s strong and expanding presence.
The Berlin Shakotsav held particular significance with the distinguished presence of Shree Ajit Gupte, the Ambassador of India to Germany. Ambassador Gupte received blessings from Lalji Maharajshree during the event, further highlighting the cultural and spiritual importance of the occasion. This historic visit underscores the thriving spirit and increasing reach of the Swaminarayan Sampraday within Germany.
