Arch (Kaman) of Dholera

During the construction of Dholera Mandir, Sadguru Shree Nishkulanand Swami visited Ganf along with Thakorji for a padhramani. The Thakor Saheb of Ganf welcomed Swami with great devotion after performing the Aarti of Thakorji.

Thereafter, while talking with Swami, the Thakor Saheb said: “Swami! You are constructing the Dholera mandir to please Shreeji Maharaj. I know that you do not even care for your own body. If you are doing this much, then use only my wealth for whatever money is needed for the mandir construction. Take these gold coins.”

Seeing the Thakor Saheb’s affection for the Dholera mandir, Swami said: “Bapu! We do not want wealth, but we want something else.”

Then Bapu said: “O Swami! I will give whatever you ask for.”

Looking toward a large stone lying in the courtyard of the house, Swami said: “I want that stone.”

“But Swami! What will you do with that stone?” Bapu asked.

Then Swami said: “Bapu! Seeing your love for the Lord, I feel that devotees should always remember your devotion; therefore, I want to make an artistic, beautiful arch from that stone and place it on the main entrance of the temple. It will forever remind people of loving devotees such as yourself.”

Thus, Nishkulanand Swami sculpted a grand kaman from that stone which stands to this day
