O, Bhagwan, you are the uplifter of even the unrighteous. I am indebted to your great promise. Once you hold your devotees’ hands, you never let go. That’s your unwavering devotion.

(Remembering the past, Brahmanand Swami says:) O Maharaj, in a full assembly, you promised to be my mother. Regard me as your son with love and overlook my faults.

Whatever I may be like, ignorant or egoistic, I am your son. I have clung to you, Mahārāj, so you will certainly have to look after me. Just as a child born to a mother has to be looked after by his mother (no matter what the child is like), I have come to your refuge, so you [Maharaj] will have to look after me.

If a child unknowingly grabs a snake or puts his hand in a fire, its mother immediately pulls the child away. For a child, there is no one in the world more caring (and who wants the best) for the child than its mother. [Hence, you are that mother for us, Mahārāj.

Brahmanand Swami requests that whenever I think of you, Mahārāj, please lovingly grant me your darshan and prasādi, both day and night.
As the second prabhatiya concluded, Brahmanand Swami began to arrange the lines for the third, when Shreeji Maharaj Himself divinely appeared. He took Swami’s sitar, gently wiped the tears from Swami’s cheeks with the end of His khes (shawl), and with the loving affection of a mother stroking her child’s head, Maharaj said, “My child! Why are you distressed? I am your ‘Mother,’ right here with you.”
Saying this, Maharaj took both of Swamiji’s hands, made him stand, embraced him tightly to His chest, wiped away his tears, and looked at Swamiji with immense compassion and affection. Swamiji, overwhelmed with emotion, had lost consciousness of his body. Upon regaining awareness, he began to kneel, and with tears of love, he held onto Shreeji Maharaj’s lotus feet and sat down. After bestowing the joy of serene bliss for a short while, Shreeji Maharaj spoke, “Brahm muni! I was merely testing your patience and demonstrating to others how detached my saints are. This was just a human act on my part. You are always with me in one form, and outside in another form.”
Shreeji Maharaj then said, “Stay here [in Sinjiwada] for two days. We will all come [from Vadtal] and meet you here in a few days. Then, we will go to Gadhpur together.” Saying this, Shreeji Maharaj draped His silken shawl from His own shoulder over Swamiji and disappeared. Swamiji regained his composure, fountains of joy erupted within him, and he realized that Maharaj was always pleased with him. He reverently touched the khes he had received to his eyes, folded it, placed it in his puja, woke up all the saints, performed his morning routine, and then stayed there for two days.
On the third day, Shreeji Maharaj’s procession arrived, with Maharaj on Manki. Brahmanand Swami then got on another and everyone proceeded to go to Gadhpur.
That same morning, after giving darshan to Brahmanand Swami in Sinjiwada, during the morning sabha in Vadtal, Shreeji Maharaj had mentioned to Sadguru Shree Nityanand Swami, “Brahm Muni composed and sang prabhatiyas very beautifully yesterday.” Remembering this, when Maharaj arrived in Gadhada and on the following day, when He was seated at Laxmi Vadi in sabha, Sadguru Shree Nityanand Swami requested Maharaj to hear the prabhatiyas.
Therefore, Maharaj gave agyna to Sadguru Shree Brahmanand Swami to recite the two pads he had composed in Sinjiwada. After Swamiji recited those two pads on the sitar, Maharaj offered His prasad (sanctified food) platter to Sadguru Brahmanand Swami and Sadguru Nityanand Swami.
