One day, Dada Khachar humbly requested Shreeji Maharaj, “My Lord, may you always be pleased with me.” Maharaj did not respond immediately, but later, He called Dada Khachar and said, “You’ve been asking for my eternal pleasure. If you truly wish to please me, you must leave Gadhada with your family and transfer your entire estate to me right now.”
Without hesitation, Dada Khachar agreed, driven by his deep desire to please Maharaj. He promptly signed over his estate and summoned his wife, Jasuba, to the courtyard. When Jasuba arrived, Dada Khachar explained Maharaj’s request. She, too, shared the same devotion and readily supported her husband.
Before leaving, Jasuba remembered their two-year-old son, Bawa Khachar, who was hungry. She went to the kitchen to pack some food for their journey. However, as she was doing so, Maharaj appeared and firmly said, “Who gave you permission to take this food? This estate now belongs to me. Without my approval, you cannot take anything. Leave Gadhada immediately.”
It was the peak of summer, and the scorching sun was unforgiving. Despite the harsh conditions, Dada Khachar, once the ruler of Gadhada, left with his family, taking nothing—not even a morsel of food—all to fulfill Maharaj’s wish.
As they reached the outskirts of the village, Maharaj called them back. Devotees hurried to bring Dada Khachar and his family back to the courtyard. The moment Dada Khachar returned, Maharaj stood up, ran toward him, and embraced him warmly. He praised Dada Khachar for his unwavering faith and devotion.
Moral: Dada Khachar’s unshakable faith and selfless dedication to Shreeji Maharaj inspire us to develop such devotion in our own lives.
