Vadtal Dham – Shree Swaminarayan Hindu Temple, Pinner (London) celebrated their annual Shakotsav on Saturday February 8th. Preparations began days prior by the dedicated volunteers of the mandir, demonstrating their enthusiasm in making the utsav a great success. Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj was adorned with white vagha and a dhoti stained with turmeric, recreating the divine image from the inaugural Shakotsav held in Loya Dham over 200 years ago. Parshad Shree Divyesh Bhagat then narrated the origins of the Shakotsav and its mahima to all of the devotees. Over 500 devotees participated in this year’s shakotsav and took part in the traditional Kathiawadi mahaprasad.
