On March 14th, 1974 (Fagan Vad 5 V.S. 2030), also known as Rang Panchami, H.H. 108 Lalji Shree Nrigendraprasadiji Maharaj was born. His personal achievements and talent is unparalleled to anything. Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, Lalji Maharajshree has acquired skills in higher education in law as well as in reading and commentating on the Vedic scriptures.
At the age of 8, Vadtal celebrated his Yagnopavit Sanskar. In the presence of over 700 Brahmins, 200 Brahmin children were also given their Janoi. 200 Havan Kunds were placed and 1 crore Hari Mantras were offered in the Yagna. At the age of 11, during Acharya Shree Ajendraprasadji Maharaj’s gadi abhishek, Acharya Shree Narendraprasadji Maharaj declared Lalji Maharajshree as ‘Bhavi Acharya’ (Acharya-designate).
Lalji Maharajshree has also acquired a rich knowledge of Sanskrit from his maternal grandfather, Pandit Shree Badrinath Shukla, and paternal grandfather, Acharya Shree Narendraprasadji Maharaj. Over the last 25 years, he has given the benefit of his Amrutvani to countless haribhakto by traveling over 8,000 times to various villages and cities. In 1991, he traveled to the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada, most notably gracing the murti pratishthas in Chicago and Dallas.
He has helped set up more than 350 branches Shree Laxminarayan Dev Yuvak Mandal and has made great efforts to guide the youth to carry out societal activities like public service, education assistance, old age service, medical camps, and more. Such leadership has led to him receiving awards such as the Yugpurush award in Surat in 2010 and the highest Gujarat Gaurav award in 2011 by the Greater Mumbai Gujarati Samaj.
One of the biggest feats under leadership of Lalji Maharajshree and Acharya Maharajshree in the history of the Swaminarayan Sampraday were the “Shree Swaminarayan Mahamantra Mahotsav ” in Gadhpur (2010) and Junagadh (2013). With an initial goal of writing 100 crore mantras, then 200 crore, then 365 crore mantras, haribhakto ended up writing 730 crore Mahamantras.
Under his faithful leadership, the Swaminarayan Sampraday has remained radiant by his unrelenting efforts to travel tirelessly for the welfare of the Sampraday. He continues to guide santo and haribhakto to forever remain under the shelter of Shree Laxminarayan Dev, Shree Harikrishna Maharaj, and Acharya Maharajshree.
