અવતીર્ય નિજાક્ષરાત્પરાદિહ મૂર્ત્યા બદરીવનેસ્થિતઃ । ભુવિભારત જીવશર્મણે નરનારાયણ દેવ પાહિમામ્ ।।૧।।
Avatirya Nijak sharat para, diha murtyam badrivane stitaha; Bhuvi bharata Jiva sharmane,
Naranarayana Dev Pahimam || 1 ||
Descending from Your divine abode and residing in the forest of Badrivan (Badrikashram); You came on this Earth for the moksha of all souls. O Narnarayan Dev, please protect me. || 1 ||
યદુપર્યભવત્કૃપા તવ સ નરો દ્રષ્ટુમિહાર્હતિક્ષણમ્ । ન પરઃ સુરસત્તમોડન્યથા નરનારાયણ દેવ પાહિમામ્ ॥૨॥
Yaduparya bhavat krupa tava, sanaro drastumi harhatik shanam; Napara Surasa tamonyatha
Naranarayana Dev Pahimam ॥ 2॥
That person upon whom Your grace descends becomes capable of seeing the Truth in an instant. Without Your mercy, even the greatest of devtas cannot perceive You. O Narnarayan Dev, please protect me. || 2 ||
પ્રથિતં ચ બૃહદ્વ્રતં ત્વયા જનતાયા નિજધામલબ્ધયે । અવબોધનમુત્તમં ભુવિ નરનારાયણ દેવ પાહિમામ્ ॥૩॥
Prathitam cha bruhad vratam tvaya, janataya nija dhama labdhaye; Ava bodhanamu tamam Bhuvi,
Naranarayana Dev Pahimam || 3 ||
You have famously observed the great vow of lifelong celibacy (Brahmacharya) to help humanity reach Your divine abode. You provide the ultimate spiritual awakening on this earth. O Narnarayan Dev, please protect me. || 3 ||
જગતો જનનં હિ પાલનં પ્રલયં ચાપિકરોષિ નિત્યદા । રજસા તમસા ચ સત્ત્વતો નરનારાયણ દેવ પાહિમામ્ ॥૪॥
Jagato jananam hi palanam, pralayam chaapi karoshi nityada; Rajasa Tamsa Cha Sattvato,
Naranarayana Dev Pahimam ॥ 4॥
You are the one who constantly performs the creation, sustenance, and dissolution of this universe through the qualities of Rajas (creation), Tamas (destruction), and Sattva (maintenance). O Narnarayan Dev, please protect me. || 4 ||
ત્રષિ રૂપધરં તપશ્ચરં હ્યવમન્યેત કદાપિ કશ્ચન । સ ભવેત્સતતં ચ નારકી નરનારાયણ દેવ પાહિમામ્ ।૫।
Rushi Rupadharan Tapas charan, Hyava manyeta Kadapi Kaschana; Sabhavet Satatam cha naraki,
Naranarayana Dev Pahimam ॥ 5॥
If anyone ever disrespects You while You are in the form of a Rishi performing deep penance, they surely fall into a state of spiritual darkness (Narak). O Narnarayan Dev, please protect me. || 5 ||
તવ મૂર્તિરિયં સુખાસ્યે જનતાયાઃ કિલ તાપશાન્તયે | મરણસ્ય જયાય નિત્યદા નરનારાયણ દેવ પાહિમામ્ ।।૬।।
Tava Murtiriyam Sukhaptaye, Jantaya Kila Tapa shantaye; Maranas Yajaya Yanityada,
Naranarayana Dev Pahimam || 6 ||
This divine form of Yours exists to grant true happiness to all people and to calm the “triple miseries” (physical, mental, and spiritual) of life. You are the eternal conqueror of death. O Narnarayan Dev, please protect me. || 6 ||
જગદન્યતનૂસ્તથાવિતું ધરસિ ત્વં ચ યુગેયુગેડધવે। હરિકૃષ્ણ તનુસ્ત્વયાધૃતા નરનારાયણ દેવ પાહિમામ્ ।।૭॥
Jagadan yatanu sthatha vitum, dharsi tvam cha yuge yugedya vai; Harikrishna Tanu stvaya dhruta, Naranarayana Dev Pahimam || 7 ||
To protect the world, You take various forms in every age (Yug). Now, You have manifested in the form of Harikrishna. O Narnarayan Dev, please protect me. || 7 ||
વિધિ શંભુમુખામર વ્રજશ્ષરણૌતે સતતં સમર્યતિ । પરમાદરતશ્ચ ચિંતતિ નરનારાયણ દેવ પાહિમામ્ ॥૮॥
Vidhisham bhumukha mara Vrajas, charano te satatam samarchati; Parama darata scha chintati, Naranarayana Dev Pahimam || 8 ||
The devtas constantly worship Your lotus feet. With the highest reverence, they always meditate upon You. O Narnarayan Dev, please protect me. || 8 ||
